Examinations and immunizations
The veterinarians and staff
at Bristol County Veterinary Hospital strongly believe in the concept of
preventive medicine. Regular "wellness" examinations
and immunizations are extremely important for maintaining the health
of your pet.
Due to recent discoveries and innovations in
veterinary medicine, your pet can be protected from most
contagious diseases. Today, many immunizations and preventive
treatments are available that did not exist just a few years ago.
The knowledgeable staff at Bristol County Veterinary Hospital
can help you decide what preventive measures are necessary for your pet(s).

Dentistry and Preventive Teeth Cleaning
Animals (like people) need
regular dental care. Gum disease causes pain, accounts for the loss of
teeth, and can lead to serious generalized bacterial infections. Our
physical exams include a thorough examination of the mouth. Teeth
cleaning (removal of dental plaque and tartar) is an important
step in preventing future dental problems.
In-House Laboratory Facilities
Our extensive in-house laboratory provides information that is
critical to your sick or injured pet. Due to our modern in-house
diagnostic equipment, animals can receive appropriate treatment
immediately after arriving at the hospital.
Our laboratory is equipped to perform preanesthesia blood testing.
This procedure greatly reduces the risks that can be associated
with surgery.
Pharmacy
We stock an extensive drug inventory so medications can be dispensed before leaving the clinic.
Our hospital carries several types of heartworm prevention medication as well as a large inventory of flea products.
Medical Imaging
We have a complete radiographic facility for taking and developing imaging films.
Hospitalization
Hospitalization is needed for sick or debilitated animals. Hospitalization of of patients allows for constant monitoring, proper delivery of medication,
fluid administration (if needed), ICU type treatment and good basic TLC.
